Come join us at the next ASME meeting as we welcome our first guest speaker of the fall semester Dr. Woosoon Yim, Chairman and Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering at UNLV, ASME Fellow and author/coauthor of more than 100 technical papers.
Dr. Yim joined UNLV in 1987 and has made significant contributions to the engineering profession through research and education. He has applied his expertise in dynamic system modeling and control to the areas of robotics, smart materials, and biomimetic systems development. He has also been active in developing a flexible manipulator system, a soft polymer actuator, and a shock/vibration isolators using a novel biased-magnetorheological elastomar.
